SUNWAY - Notice of Rights Entitlement (Ratio)

RENOUNCEABLE RIGHTS ISSUE OF UP TO 1,112,777,962 NEW IRREDEEMABLE CONVERTIBLE PREFERENCE SHARES ("ICPS") IN SUNWAY BERHAD ("SUNWAY") AT AN ISSUE PRICE OF RM1.00 PER ICPS ON THE BASIS OF ONE ICPS FOR EVERY FIVE EXISTING ORDINARY SHARES IN SUNWAY HELD BY THE ENTITLED SHAREHOLDERS AT 5.00 P.M. ON 6 NOVEMBER 2020 ("RIGHTS ISSUE OF ICPS")
 

Kindly be advised of the following :

1)    The above Company’s securities will be traded and quoted “Ex- Right Issue” as from: 05 Nov 2020
2)    The last date of lodgment : 06 Nov 2020
3)    Retention Money: Where securities are not delivered in time for registration by the seller, then the brokers concerned:-
       a)    Selling Broker to deduct <1/6>, of Selling Price against the Selling Client
       b)    Buying Broker to deduct  <10%>, of Purchase Price against the Buying Client
       c)    Between Broker and Broker, the deduction of <1/6>, of the Transacted Price is applicable.

Remarks

The Abridged Prospectus, together with the Notice of Provisional Allotment and the Rights Subscription Form (collectively referred to as the "Documents") are despatched only to shareholders whose names appear on the Record of Depositors as at 5.00 p.m. on 6 November 2020 ("Entitled Shareholders") and who have a registered address in Malaysia or who have provided our Share Registrar for the Rights Issue of ICPS with a registered address in Malaysia in writing by 5.00 p.m. on 6 November 2020.

The Documents are not intended to and will not be made to comply with the laws of any jurisdiction other than Malaysia and are not intended to be and will not be issued, circulated or distributed in jurisdictions other than Malaysia. No action has been or will be taken to ensure that the Rights Issue of ICPS complies with the laws of any jurisdiction other than the laws of Malaysia. 

Acceptance of and payment for the Provisional Allotments and Excess ICPS Applications of the Rights Issue of ICPS must be made on the Rights Subscription Form or by way of e-Subscription which is available at https://tiih.online. ("TIIH Online"), a website of our Share Registrar for the Rights Issue of ICPS, Tricor Investor & Issuing House Services Sdn Bhd. All our shareholders with a registered address in Malaysia are encouraged to register as a user of TIIH Online in order to subscribe for the Rights Issue of ICPS electronically. Kindly log on to TIIH Online for information on how to register as a new user. Electronic notification in the form of email will be sent to Entitled Shareholders who are registered users of TIIH Online within two market days after the BCD.
