SCIENTX - Notice of Bonus Entitlement

1) SCIENTEX BERHAD ("SCIENTEX") BONUS ISSUE OF UP TO 1,033,729,744 NEW ORDINARY SHARES IN SCIENTEX ("SCIENTEX SHARES") ("BONUS SHARES") ON THE BASIS OF TWO BONUS SHARES FOR EVERY ONE EXISTING SCIENTEX SHARE HELD AT 5.00 P.M. ON 14 JANUARY 2021 ("ENTITLEMENT DATE").

2) ISSUANCE OF UP TO 103,372,974 FREE WARRANTS IN SCIENTEX ("WARRANTS") ON THE BASIS OF ONE WARRANT FOR EVERY FIVE EXISTING ORDINARY SHARES IN SCIENTEX HELD AT 5.00 P.M. ON 14 JANUARY 2021.

Kindly be advised of the following :

1)    The above Company’s securities will be traded and quoted “[Ex-Bonus Issue]” as from: 13 Jan 2021
2)    The last date of lodgment : 14 Jan 2021
3)    Retention Money: Where securities are not delivered in time for registration by the seller, then the brokers concerned:-
        a)    Selling Broker to deduct <2/3>, of Selling Price against the Selling Client
        b)    Buying Broker to deduct <66.66%>, of Purchase Price against the Buying Client
        c)    Between Broker and Broker, the deduction of <2/3>, of the Transacted Price is applicable.

Remarks 1: 

Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd would like to clarify that on the basis of settlement taking place after 14 January 2021 with bonus issue of SCIENTX shares, any shareholder who is entitled to receive SCIENTX bonus issue shares may sell any or all of his SCIENTX shares arising from the bonus issue beginning the Ex-Date (13 January 2021).
 
For example, if Mr X purchases 100 SCIENTX shares on cum basis on 12 January 2021, Mr X should receive 100 shares on 14 January 2021. As a result of the bonus issue, a total of 300 SCIENTX shares will be credited into Mr X's CDS account on the night of 14 January 2021 being the Book Closing Date. Therefore, Mr X can sell the bonus issue shares of 300 on or after the Ex-Date ie from 13 January 2021 onwards."

Remarks 2:

Up to 1,033,729,744 Bonus Shares will be listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities") on 15 January 2021, being the market day immediately after the Entitlement Date.

The notice of allotment for the Bonus Shares will be issued and despatched to the entitled shareholders within 4 market days after the date of the listing of the Bonus Shares on the Main Market of Bursa Securities.

Remarks 3:

Up to 103,372,974 Warrants will be listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities") within 2 market days after the submission of the application of the quotation for the Warrants to Bursa Securities. The notice of allotment for the Warrants will be issued and despatched to the entitled shareholders in due course.
