INTRODUCTION

The Board of Directors of Mitrajaya Holdings Berhad (“MHB” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Pembinaan Mitrajaya Sdn Bhd has on 9 February 2021 acknowledged receipt of the letter of award dated 8 February 2021 from Putrajaya Development Sdn. Bhd., in relation to the proposed construction and completion of 10 levels of podium and external works at Plot 7MD7, Precinct 7, Putrajaya for a contract sum of RM199,999,909.00 (the “Contract”). 

DETAILS OF THE CONTRACT

The construction of the 10 levels of podium involves the construction of 8 levels of car park, mechanical and engineering services, 3 levels of retails, external works and work outside boundaries (Package 2) for the proposed Transit Oriented Development in Putrajaya. The works is divided into three Sections with site possession on 16 February 2021 (“Date for Possession of Site”). The Contract period for each Section will be as follows:-

Section 1: Eighteen (18) months from the Date for Possession of Site.

Section 2: Twenty Two (22) months from the Date for Possession of Site.

Section 3: Twenty Four (24) months from the Date for Possession of Site.

FINANCIAL EFFECTS

The Contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of MHB Group for the financial years ending 31 December 2021 and 31 December 2022. The Contract will not have effect on the share capital and shareholding structure of MHB.

DIRECTORS' AND MAJOR SHAREHOLDERS' INTERESTS

None of the Directors and/or major shareholders or persons connected to them have any interest, directly or indirectly interest in the Contract.

DIRECTORS' STATEMENT

The Board of Directors of MHB is of the opinion that the acceptance of the Contract is in the best interest of MHB Group.
