| Working experience and occupation | He is currently the Chairman of Warisan Harta Sabah Sdn Bhd ("WHSSB"). WHSSB is a majority shareholder holds 45.40% of shareholdings in Suria Capital Holdings Berhad. Prior to his chairmanship in WHSSB, he had served as Minister of Information and Communications of Malaysia from 29 July 2015 until 10 May 2018. He is also a member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly for Usukan, Kota Belud.
He began his career in public service in 1984 as Kota Belud District Officer before his involvement in politics. He is actively participating in political organisation and currently a member of the United Malay National Organisation ("UMNO"). He had been elected as a member of UMNO High Council, UMNO Treasurer, UMNO Sabah Chairman, UMNO Sabah Deputy Chairman and UMNO Chief for Kota Belud.
He also participated and was elected to occupy positions in non-governmental organisations such as Vice President of Malaysian Youth Council, Deputy President of SANYA, President of Bajau Cultural Organisation and Chairman of National Film Development Corporation Malaysia ("FINAS"). |
