The Board of Directors of Astral Asia Berhad ("AAB" or "the Company") wishes to announce that the Company has incorporated a new subsidiary, Astral Chem Sdn Bhd ("ACSB") in Malaysia under the Companies Act 2016 on 10 May 2021.

ACSB [Registration No. 202101017629 (1417929-V)] is a wholly-owned subsidiary of AAB. The issued share capital of ACSB is RM2.00 divided into 2 ordinary shares.

The intended principal activity of ACSB is to carry on manufacturing, trading and distribution of products

The incorporation of ACSB will not have any material impact on the earnings and net assets of AAB for the financial year ending 31 December 2021.

None of the Directors and/or major shareholders of the Company or persons connected to them have any interest, direct or indirect in the incorporation of ACSB.
