Reference is made to the announcement by Konsortium Transnasional Berhad ("KTB" or "the Company") on 31 May 2021 relating to the convening of the 17th Annual General Meeting of the Company ("17th AGM") to be held at the Dewan Bungaraya, Level 2, WP Hotel, 362, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, 50100 Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, 24 June 2021 at 10.00 a.m.

On 28 May 2021, a statement was issued by the Prime Minister's Office subsequent to the special meeting of the National Security Council where the decision was made to implement a Full Movement Control Order ("FMCO") lockdown in phases with the initial phase of a total lockdown starting from 1 June 2021 to 14 June 2021 nationwide to curb the sharp increase in Covid-19 infections in Malaysia. The FMCO has since then been further extended to 28 June 2021.

The Companies Commission of Malaysia ("CCM") had on 1 June 2021 issued a Practice Directive No. 8/2021 for affected companies with financial year ended 1 November 2020 to 31 January 2021 to apply for an extension of time for a period of 90 days to hold an annual general meeting in accordance with the powers under Section 340(4) of the Companies Act 2016.

In view that the convening of the 17th AGM is no longer feasible during the FMCO period or until such time permissible by the National Security Council or other Government Authorities, the Board of Directors ("Board") of KTB has decided to postpone the 17th AGM to a later date which will be notified in due course.

The Company had applied and been granted an extension of time by CCM to hold its 17th AGM up to 28 September 2021 pursuant to Section 340(4) of the Companies Act 2016 and the Practice Directive  No. 8/2021 issued by CCM.

The Board will continue to monitor the situation of Covid-19 in Malaysia before fixing an appropriate date for the 17th AGM of the Company which will be determined and and announced in due course.
