We refer to the announcements dated 9 December 2019, 26 December 2019, 28 February 2020, 30 March 2020, 4 August 2020, 28 August 2020, 8 October 2020, 26 January 2021, 10 February 2021, 19 February 2021, 22 March 2021, 25 May 2021 and 16 August 2021 in relation to the Company’s non-compliance with the public shareholding spread requirement pursuant to Paragraph 8.02(1) of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) (“Listing Requirements”) (“Announcements”).

Unless otherwise stated, defined terms in this announcement shall carry the same meanings as defined in the Announcements.

The Board of Directors of PLS wishes to announce that the Company had received a letter dated 8 September 2021 from Bursa Securities granting the Company a further extension of time of six (6) months until 28 February 2022 to comply with the Public Shareholding Spread Requirement. 

The Company currently does not meet the Public Shareholding Spread Requirement. Based on the Company’s Record of Depositors as at 30 August 2021, the Company's public shareholding spread is 10.16%, representing a shortfall of 14.84% from the Public Shareholding Spread Requirement.

The Company together with our holding company and single largest shareholder will continue to explore all possible options to rectify the shortfall in the Public Shareholding Spread Requirement within the extended period.

The Company will continue to monitor the level of the Public Shareholding Spread Requirement and will make the necessary announcement in relation to the status of the Public Shareholding Spread Requirement in accordance with the Listing Requirements.
