Unless otherwise defined, all defined terms used in the announcement shall have the same meaning as defined in the company announcements dated 10 September 2019, 11 September 2019, 30 September 2019, 14 October 2019, 13 November 2019, 10 January 2020, 16 April 2020, 15 June 2020, 3 July 2020, 10 September 2020, 22 September 2020, 29 September 2020, 11 November 2020, 17 November 2020, 2 February 2021, 8 April 2021, 6 May 2021, 24 June 2021, 30 July 2021 and 9 August 2021.

The Board of Directors of the Company wishes to announce that further to the hearing of the Originating Summons, the Plaintiff’s injunction and the Defendants’ striking out applications on 27 September 2021, the Plaintiff’s counsel had applied for an adjournment of the hearing on the ground that there is another pending matter in the Kuala Lumpur High Court, Civil Suit No.: WA-22NCC-603-10/2019 (Suit 603) where the issue of the joint venture agreement was raised, and the Plaintiff requested that this matter to be heard only after Suit 603 had been determined. 

The Judge directed the Plaintiff to put in a formal application for stay of proceedings and agreed to adjourn the hearing pending the disposal of the stay application.

The Judge has then fixed 11 October 2021 for Plaintiff to put in the application and for case management by e-Review.

Any further material development on the matter will be announced to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad accordingly.
