Encik Zainal 'Abidin Bin Abd Jalil ("Zainal") is currently the Executive Director of Dagang NeXchange
Berhad ("DNeX") since February 2019 after serving about five (5) years as the Group Managing Director of DNex. He is also the Group Managing Director of Ping Petroleum Limited, a 90% subsidiary of DNeX.

As the then Group Managing Director of DNeX, Encik Zainal has successfully turned around the company, which was formerly Time Engineering Berhad (a company owned by Khazanah Nasional Berhad) with a market apitalization of RM180 million to more than RM3 billion company with global footprint. Currently, he is focusing only on managing the Energy division of DNeX. DNeX's current businesses include IT/e-Services, Energy, Fibre Optic installation and Semiconductor.

Encik Zainal has demonstrated significant leadership experience in upstream exploration and production including offshore operations, and joint venture management with strong partner relation experience with global players in the oil and gas sector. He also has in depth knowledge of major hydrocarbon producing areas in West Africa, North America and Asia Pacific in addition to leadership experience overseeing power business in the Middle East, North Africa, South East Asia and Australia.

Serving as Chief Executive Officer of Malakoff Corporation Berhad ("Malakoff"), Encik Zainal had successfully spearheaded Malakoff's transformation into a major international Independent Water and Power Producer (IWPP) with core businesses in power generation, renewable energy, water desalination and operations & maintenance services. He was instrumental in leading Malakoff into international market as well as building renewable energy business in the Middle East, North Africa, South East Asia and Australia. He was with Malakoff for three (3) years prior to joining DNeX in June 2014.
