Further to the announcement dated 16 March 2022, the Board of Directors of Alam Maritim Resources Berhad ("ALAM” or "the Company") has announced that the Company received the notice in writing given pursuant to Section 281(2) of the Companies Act 2016 from Messrs. Al Jafree Salihin Kuzaimi PLT (“Salihin”) on their resignation as Auditors of the Company with effect from 11 March 2022.

The resignation of Salihin was on voluntary basis due to the limited number of partners registered with Audit Oversight Board (“AOB”) to serve the current Public Interest Entities (“PIE”) audit clients (currently only three (3) partners registered with AOB) and Salihin's focus going forward is to serve the large non-PIE clients.

The Company is in the midst of appointing new Auditors pursuant to Section 271(2) (b) of the Companies Act, 2016. Further announcement will be made by the Company on the appointment of new Auditors in due course.

Save for the above, the Board is not aware of any matters that need to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company.
