We refer to the previous announcements dated 2 November 2018, 14 December 2018, 19 February 2019, 28 March 2019, 11 April 2019, 8 May 2019, 30 May 2019, 22 July 2019, 6 September 2019, 25 September 2019, 2 January 2020, 24 February 2020, 14 April 2020, 1 June 2020, 10 June 2020, 10 July 2020, 30 July 2019, 15 September 2020, 13 October 2020, 20 October 2020, 25 November 2020, 27 October 2021, 1 November 2021, 19 November 2021, 25 April 2022 and 29 April 2022.

The Company was advised by its solicitors about the recent development of the case whereby pursuant to the Defendant’s letter dated 12 May 2022 sent to the Kuala Lumpur High Court (“High Court”):

(a) the Court of Appeal had allowed the Defendant’s application for a stay of the High Court’s proceeding (“Stay Application”) pending the disposal of the Defendant’s appeal at the Court of Appeal;

(b) The Court of Appeal had fixed a Hearing date to hear the Defendant’s appeal on 19 August 2022;

(c) Due to the above, the Defendant is seeking for the High Court to vacate the Full Trial dates (fixed on 2 June 2022 and 3 June 2022) and the Case Management date (fixed on 17 May 2022).

The Company will announce any material development arising from the above matter at the appropriate time.
