(Unless otherwise stated, the words and abbreviations used herein shall have the same meaning as those defined in the Announcement (defined herein).)

We refer to the Company’s announcement dated 12 August 2022 stating that Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) had vide its letter dated 11 August 2022, rejected the Company’s application for an extension of time until 31 December 2022 (“Application”) to comply with Paragraph 8.04(3) and Practice Note 17 of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Securities Berhad(“Listing Requirements”)(“Announcement”). 

On behalf of the Board of Directors of MPCB, Sierac Corporate Advisers Sdn Bhd has, on 18 August 2022, submitted an appeal (“Appeal”) to Bursa Securities:-

(i)      against its decision to commence de-listing procedures on the securities of the Company; and  

(ii)     to reconsider its rejection of the Application and to approve the Company until 31 December 2022 to submit the proposed regularisation plan to the regulatory authorities. 

Given that the Appeal was submitted within the “Appeal Timeframe” (i.e. on or before 18 August 2022):-

(i)         the suspension of trading in the securities of MPCB with effect from 19 August 2022; and

(ii)        the removal of the securities of the Company from the Official List of Bursa Securities on 23 August 2022.

shall be deferred pending the decision by Bursa Securities on the Appeal.
