The Board of Directors (“Board”) of the Company wishes to announce that the Company is proposing to change its name from "DIGI.COM BERHAD" to "CELCOMDIGI BERHAD" ("Proposed Change of Name"). The Proposed Change of Name is in conformance with the Company’s obligation under the share purchase agreement dated 21 June 2021 (as amended) entered into between the Company and Axiata Group Berhad in relation to the merger between Celcom Axiata Berhad (“Celcom”) and the Company. The Board believes that the Proposed Change of Name will give the Company a new corporate identity that better reflects the Company as a merged entity further to the completion of its merger with Celcom on 30 November 2022.

The proposed name “CELCOMDIGI BERHAD” was approved by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (“CCM”) and the reservation for the use of the proposed name is extended to 14 March 2023.

The Proposed Change of Name is subject to the approval of the shareholders of the Company at an Extraordinary General Meeting to be convened at a date to be announced later and if approved, the new name will take effect from the date of issuance of the Notice of Registration of New Name by the CCM to the Company.

A circular to shareholders with details of the Proposed Change of Name will be issued to the shareholders in due course.
