| Working experience and occupation | He is currently the Executive Director and Head of Asset Development Group, overseeing Khazanah Nasional Berhad's ("Khazanah") Malaysian Investments. Prior to this, Datuk Amran, who has over 27 years of experience, was responsible for Khazanah's investments in various sectors including Energy, Iskandar, Leisure & Tourism, Infrastructure, Power, Agrifood, Indonesia and Sustainable Development.
He began his career in 1997 with PETRONAS in corporate finance and treasury functions. He then transitioned to the private equity industry before joining Khazanah in 2011.
He was appointed to the Board of UEM Group Berhad on 15 April 2022 and was subsequently re-designated as Chairman on 1 January 2023.
