Closing price as well as Warrants exercise price RM0.20 formula . Theoretical Price calculate by ESCERAM
Example:
RM1.00 adjust to RM0.4
RM1.10 adjust to RM0.433
RM1.20 adjust to RM0.466
RM1.30 adjust to RM0.5
RM1.40 adjust to RM0.533
RM1.50 adjust to RM0.566
u sell warrants as how u sell your normal shares. it s only different if you want to exercise your warrants. that u need to call your IB to initiate it.
Jenny Mu, u meant paper profit is it? that would be your total esceramic holdings which should be double of yesterday holding, eg. if u have 1000 units yesterday and today you should use 2000 units. as for warrants theoretically now it should worth 0.60++ now. so your total value is 2 x rm810 + rm600 = rm2220
you can check with your remisier if you can sell it. maybe they have different system which is different from our normal trading system. for example, I cannot sell odd lots myself, but I can get my IB to help me to sell odd lots.
Yuh, if u bought yesterday and had sold all your unit today. It means u already kena contra loss. U have to buy back today and ask ur remiser to help u place under intra trade then only can save u..
If u din sell today u won't kena contra loss..if u top up now and the share price go down u also can not sell. Must pass t+2 only can sell as the system will treat u sell the units u bought yesterday.
hah? adjust? it already adjusted yesterday. what else to adjust? u guys sure of what you are saying? is this your first time receiving bonus shares and warrants?
if you purely referring to your CDS acct, of course it would reflect losses as you yet to receive the bonus shares and warrants. you should have your own tracking to know what is your cost price. no need to wait for your CDS account to adjust for u before u buy or sell.
simple calculation, number of holding u have on 13 Oct x 2 = your total holding now. use this and x the share price now. you should have the market value. with the market value minus your cost price and you should know your profit or losses. though u yet to receive your bonus shares and warrants. theoretically you can calculate this yourself
the key concern here is what would happen with esceramic price from today to 26 Oct? if it corrected, then both your warrants and bonus shares also would be in lower value on 26 Oct when they get listed for trading.
as for contra losses. it s just accounting only. let s say I bought 1 share lot esceramic at RM1.30 on 13 October. and today i sold it at Rm0.90, so theoretically I need to pay contra losses of rm1.30-rm0.90 = rm0.40. usually u only need to settle the contra losses within a week which would be 22 October . come 26 Oct, your account will be credited 1 warrants and 1 bonus share. for simple calculation, we just assume that on 26 Oct, esceramic remain at rm0.90.
so your total value on 26 October would be rm0.9(bonus shares)+ rm0.7(warrants). total rm1600 in ringgit terms. now since I made losses of rm400 due to contra loss, now I gain back rm1600. net gain is rm1200.
@Joseph, warrants always have this thing call premium. it doesn't necessarily must reflect the exact value. it can be higher or it could be lower depending on how the market value it.
@eddy ok, is it the lower the exercise value the better? Means the warrant price will not have big gap with mother price, am i understand it correctly? haha
4 important factors to take note in warrants: exercise price, ratio, premium and expiry date. try to avoid warrant if you don't really understand it as it serves as double edge sword.
