@lee ah gou - Yes for electric cars. Tho I see companies like Penta to be a plausible benefactory of this rather than Scomnet since Scomnet is more focused on medical devices. Just my 2 cents worth, if I'm wrong please do share articles or research here.
Imo, the sales of medical devices rose only because of the pandemic. I believe the company will focus more on their cable business in the future. I think that both company, penta and scomnet will benefit from this automotive trend
@lee ah gou - Well, Scomnet's revenue didn't increase like glove revenue. So I'm tempted to think this Covid-19 thing did not bring much benefit to Scomnet. As for automobile, it would be better if car sales in Malaysia improves.
and of course their revenue cant increase so much like glove because i think their medical devices are not recurring, unlike glove. U throw away glove after its been used
@lee ah gou - Yes and no actually. They do make disposable medical items like bronchoscope and catheters but it's not a high turnover item like gloves. Unfortunately they don't break down revenue based on product turnovers. Another option for them to increase sales on Covid 19 based medical equip like ventilators.
