Hi wanted to ask today ex date means last day to buy in before bonus issue or it’s already over on last Friday? Seeing the price already changed today. Any advice tq

But I saw the announcement the exdate is 22/3 that’s why thought today only buy in as usual but how come it’s already over? Means I missed the boats and should buy in 19/3?

Please refer to the announcement on 10 March 2021:

"... any shareholder who is entitled to receive SLVEST bonus issue shares, may sell any or all of his SLVEST shares arising from the bonus issue beginning the Ex-Date (22 March 2021)..."

Which means that you will need to have purchased shares before the 22nd of March. 19th of March was the final day.

No worries. I think it would be an even better deal if you are able to buy at a lower price after bonus shares have been issued.
Some people usually dump their initial shares after the bonus shares are out.
(I'm keeping mine for long-term investment though.)

Hi, Jonathan do u think can buy and hold now? Really no idea but company profile actually is good been observing for few months and with recent project should be good to hold but not sure today or tomorrow buy in will be the best timing. Pls advise, not really an expert in shares I’m not a gambler too but an investor for sure..appreciate

If you haven't bought in yet, could possibly wait and see if you can buy in at a lower price, because I definitely have no idea if there'll be further correction.

But yeah, SLVEST is a major solar power player in Malaysia, and the fundamentals are pretty good.

Alternatives are CYPARK, SAMAIDEN, KPOWER.

SAMAIDEN is still a fairly new player.
CYPARK's owners tend to sell off their shares when the price reaches 1.6+.
KPOWER is steady around 1.9+, and the owner is a very good businessman.

Yes observing Kpower and Cypark earlier too all of them doing almost the same thing of businesses as well... my funds earlier stuck in Solution not moving for 3 months keep doubtful even company profile is good too not sure is a regret decision to hold it back then instead of cut loss of 30%+...it’s painful indeed ?wrong timing I guessed no luck ?

Stocks with good fundamentals will always bounce back. 'Goreng' stocks like DATAPRP might rise for a while, but they'll always come back down.
