I saw from dividendmagic blog and it says go to Tricor... I am so confused.

But then again, I saw Maybank agm involves both Tricor and Boardroom , so I need register both sides?

If u intend to hold for long coz the price is cheaper than market rate but you will have a odd lot. If u don't intend to hold for long then better take cash

Let's say I hv 1,000 unit
My entitlement is 210 ÷ 7.55 = 28 units i entitle
Remaining received by cash RM175
28 unit x RM8.39 (today closing price) = RM235 + RM175 = RM410 (total cash value if i opt for reinvestment)
Compare to default, directly get cash dividend is RM385
RM385 - RM410= RM25 extra bonus if opt reinvestment.
Am I right?

Fion lim-something like that. DRP odd lot is no problem if you want to sell. I never sell my maybank since I bought it long ago

@Fion Lim , don't forget fraction is round down.
I never do it before but it should be something like:

210÷7.55=27.81=27 unit
(you losing RM0.81 or 3%)

27 unit * RM 8.39=226.53 + 175 =
RM 401.53

For your scenario if you sell above RM7.78 then is worth to opt in reinvest

But if you just got 100 unit, opt in will just get 2.781 = 2 unit only, which losing 39%+ . This case opt in reinvest will not be a good choice.

not like that after x price eg. last day x 8.39 - 0.385 = 8.005
8.005 x 28 = 224.14
175 + 224.14 = 399.14
