The consumer price index (CPI) in Italy rose by 1.2% in March, according to the second report by the Italian National Institute of Statistics (Istat) released on Tuesday. The preliminary report put annual inflation at 1.3%, compared to 0.8% in February. Month-on-month, the CPI was unchanged.
