Big audit firm always involve in proper SOP esp when audit big listed company like SD. From clarification made by SD during SD YouTube announcement, I feel SD management is even more samseng than kpgm. Come on think rational and intepreate from both party statement then only judge who is right or wrong.

Xyhers Skai, U can not simply use the word naive to pronounce a person, just like KPMG announce the issue without taking consideration seriousness of the matter? or just bcoz it is an international auditor and they are acting professionally?, U believe the KPMG is stand on the right of investor, if they do, they should report the issue to the CEO 1st and then to non-independent director committee.
and u believe the Q & A file? how to know that are the only issues raised by KPMG? after chairman bluntly misled people about spoken with SC and Bursa about this.
HK Ngui, KPGM is not charity institute.. . They have no issue to stand on the right of investor nor involve in politicial issue. Big company only look into money earning . Even if KPGM really do not reply to SD, SD should take initiative and take action to keep follow up frequently to show the urgency of this issue by not just simply justify KPGM do no reply. In my view, Something is fishy here to make KPGM make such decision since they should know the consequence of not replying to KPGM.

Its not about who's fault by which party not replying to another party. What I means is if KPGM "choose" to not reply SD might indicate that they find out something fishy on SD account and intentionally want to bring up this issue to publicity. Now we are focusing on either SD has involve in false account or not right... Don't get me wrong on which party is unethic or ethnic way to handle this issue.

Look at what KPMG has perform its auditing jobs, 80% issue related to wrong supplier & customer address as well as contact no only, the rest is paper error matter, however, non of the matter is relevant to financial figure issue, KPMG did not report clearly about the cash or cash equivalent matter. It is just small matter that KPMG should have been discuss with Serbadk in the 1st place. Now, they worry about being sued therefore resign and protect by insurer and law.
it is commonly happen in big4, where the audit senior in-charge drag file till the last minutes reaching deadline only submit for partner and manager review. And those confirmation circularisation work assigned to intern to do the work and sent out without properly reviewed bythe SIC.
Sure I will read the file again carefully. Issues raised by KPGM are big or small actually not judge by us neither since I am not professional in accountant field. The small issue u think is silly does not mean it is just idiot mistake made by KPGM. There are too many way to perform the manipulation of account. Btw KPGM is NOT worry of being sue. It is a proper procedure called " conflict of interest", go search more on this and u know why they resigned. They have to.

it is the bursa listing requirements which require AC broad to review the auditor's scope, audit strategy, timeline ,etc to ensure free of conflict of interest from management and audit to be objectively conducted. please refer Para 15 of listing requirements under main and ace. Every listed has to do this also, please AC report too in any Annual Report u read.
MIA bylaw ethical code, do state whenever there is intimitation or any independence threats, auditor should not continue their engagement. but the fact now, is the court case initiated, and wonder they choose this timing to resign.

I was talking the fact, I do not believe a person is wrong until they have been proved guilty by the law, KPMG could have human error problem, not system is perfect. First of all, my strategy of investment is pay 30% attention on fundamental analysis, 70% on technical analysis, the chart speak everything never lie, but fundamental can be fake. Therefore, I got my own way of risk management.

Have u know EPF is most active trader using people money cause they loss nothing if they dispose any share at any counter..you know that? For reference, please go to SPSETIA counter..EPF still dispose even counter make a profit! So, don't refer to institution to make a investment. They loss nothing while "bilis" like us suffer a lot if we CL just refer to "hearsay"

Yes, EPF short their stock everyday, it is only a portion profit taking, nothing wrong, some sifu explain it as a big deal and stock disaster, Institution news are u reliable, see how fast they run, whatever the institution tells that value investment is best return for the future, is bullshit to the retailer, becoz it is easy for them to sell off their tickets once achieve their target price, if SB found not guilty, the institution will spread good news again and trap investor.
Irwan, Bursa is daily trader, fundamental is non useful for day trader. Look at AirAsia, the stock volume still trading high, share price still attractive, eventhough investor knowing AA got billion of huge debts behind, they still believe MIRACLE and TONY EFFECT, that could save AA. On the contrary, I believe that alot of ppl has stuck their airplane tickets in AA, unable to refund, therefor they wish AA should not bankrupt.
This stock hav no fundamental (all the lies from the administration). Remember that the auditor roll is to find the truth for investor. Even change auditor doesn't change anything unless you hope an auditor side to the company's administration to lie investor. If the company's management is good and fundamental is good (all the figure is fake). This situation will not happen. Don't waste time and money on this company as u will regret
Harvard, price not yet hit the bottom, no good news about SB yet, the case is still in the process of investigation. KPMG is pushing off the responsibility, in the moment, it depend on the new auditor to be appointed as well as how Bursa & SC response.
