There is no adverse news other than supply chain shortage shortages of IC affecting Nintendo production. I believe this had been resolved give the NINTENDO Project team from Foxconn is here for further implementation of more localisation of switches to comply with Nintendo quality requirements.
PIE is not only relying on Nintendo. PIE is also currently producing parts for Crypto Mining Equipment for BITMAN and the volume will increase tremendously like what I heard from Kobay Management. PIE also have various projects in hand to kick off once the Government open up the foreign workers restriction which is hindering its expansion.
From my sources and was told that it's biggest customer Nintendo said is faced with shortage of chips affecting production. The Nintendo Project Team from Taiwan (FOXCONN) is right now in PIE to train and implement new parts or switches production and to enhance production efficiencies and quality to compliance with Nintendo requirements.
One member passed this below info to me posted in another group where the person had spoken to PIE management which is consistent with my findings.
The management reassured that the rumour saying that PIE is being asked to compensate their customers for inability to deliver the products is *not true*. Management indicated there is no such development and its order pipeline remains robust.
PIE will be announcing 4Q21 results on 25 Feb and we believe the management guidance given previously is still valid and the group is on track to post a healthy QoQ growth, in tandem with its seasonal trend. Q4 would be better than Q3 given Q3 was affected by MCO and also Covid cases in its premise.
Hari Raya is coming.
Currently is Bulan Puasa they facing shortage of manpower as no workers want to work overtime! Feel hungry no power to work!! Some Muslim foreigners (from Indon, Bangla, Pakistan) also plan to go back their home country after suffered from 2 years pandemic of border closing.
Seasonal low productivity on this month, foresee low profit this quarter.
