So a billion dollar company stupidly invest hundreds of millions with no expectancy on that investment? Probably a dumb@ss on KLSE comment section will do that kind of decision.
Makes me think why u being sore loser commenting at here acting all smarty? Actually u have been commenting everywhere else that u don’t invest in. Perhaps genting should learn from u commenting on areas that they don’t invest.
They won’t sell it cheaply. They will break into parts n sell it more. On what reasons why they selling it cheaply? So buy something and sell it even more cheap?
And Gen HK (ship, Cruise business) is struggling. So among the possible scenarios is left hand in right hand out. Coz Equanimity is meant for that division.
How can one compare mashpee and equanimity. 2 totally diff investment. One involving legal case and another is not. It’s like comparing a food and a business. Overall, ur point adding equanimity as investment to cover later on losses on mashpee is bad? So they rather just loss and do nothing to lessen the losses by investing in others? Ya maybe u r right. They should just do ntg whenever they making a loss and eventually closes shop.
I'm saying it doesn't add value to GenM. I didn't say it's to cover the losses of Mashpee. Learn to read please.
GenM already have to write off Mashpee Notes. It's trying to retrieve back the amount but tribe is almost bankrupt. For Equanimity, it's only logical as a national service investment and then transfer it to the cruise division. It doesn't offer synergy to GenM operations. More money wasted. As if the losses are already not bad enough.
Investments that add value and synergise with its existing operations are excellent. But I don't see Equanimity being one. It's more like a move that is designed to help Gen HK in the near future.
Yeah I agreed with u it’s just helping gen HK on their cruise section. But they surely calculated alrdy how much profit or whatever they plan to do with it. It’s not a vain decision. We can only hope as we don’t know their reasoning for that decision. What they put on media statements isn’t always the one going tru in their meeting rooms.
Yeah hope for the best. But I just realised there's a positive one recently. GenM sold off UK casino for some good money. So win win actually. Use the money to reinvest.
Yeah the UK casino.. for rm185m.. cos that part casino isn’t generating enough returns.. I feel that’s a good decision to sell and not prolong its losses.
