Serba Dinamik appoints ex-Deputy Minister Shariff Omar to its board

KUALA LUMPUR (June 9): Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd has appointed former Deputy Agriculture Minister Tan Sri Mohd Shariff Omar as an independent director.

Shariff, 74, is also a former Member of Parliament for Tasek Gelugor and former Deputy Chief Minister of Penang.  He is currently a member of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).

Shariff is also a director of Versatile Creative Bhd, Serba Dinamik said in a bourse filing.
 
The oil and gas service provider said Shariff began his career in the civil service in 1972 as the assistant district officer of Pekan in Pahang and went on to serve in Perak and Penang until 1982.

Shares in Serba Dinamik finished one sen or 8.7% lower at 10.5 sen on Thursday (June 9), giving the group a market capitalization of RM375.05 million.
