Powerwell Holdings bags RM94mil contract from Tialoc Malaysia for low voltage panels installation in Kedah

KUALA LUMPUR: Powerwell Holdings Bhd has bagged a contract worth RM94 million from Tialoc Malaysia Sdn Bhd for the installation of low voltage panels in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah.

The contract received via its wholly-owned subsidiary, Powerwell International Sdn Bhd, will commence in June and is targeted for completion by March next year.

The contract entails supplying, installing, testing and commissioning low voltage panels for a new building project of a leading multinational corporation.

"We see the opportunities to expand our business from the demand of our solutions for both conventional and renewable energy generation in the region," said Powerwell regional sales and marketing director Aaron Leong.

Leong said that since the inception of its first overseas project in the year 2000, Powerwell has continued to expand its footprint in the international markets, especially in the Southeast Asia region.

"Currently, our products are exported to various countries, including Indonesia, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

"Going forward, we will continue to actively participate in the tenders while leveraging on our strong track record over the past 30 years to strengthen our regional presence," he said.

With this contract, Powerwell's outstanding order book stands at RM201 million.

Powerwell is an investment holding company.

Through its group of subsidiaries, the company provides power distribution solutions for low- and medium-volume equipment.
