KUALA LUMPUR: Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd has launched the first ever property metaverse platform in Malaysia.

Chief marketing officer Lim Kok Yee said Matrix Metaverse was a virtual reality universe whereby participants can interact with one another online and in real-time.

"The unique features of this platform – firstly, participants can create their own 'avatars' and converse verbally with any person in the metaverse using their device's microphone and video cam. 

"Thirdly, it is all real-time and immediate. The content is extremely rich with strategically placed product posters, videos and kiosks as well as floor plans and scale-models with the master plan of Bandar Sri Sendayan as its centre-piece," Lim said. 

He noted the metaverse was much more than just a 360-show unit tour. 

"It is similar to live visiting and touring a sales gallery and/or any show units as the avatar can teleport to the desired location while communicating and talking with a sales person and/or several sales personnel in the metaverse," he added.

Lim said Matrix Concepts investment into providing such a platform was necessary as the company aimed to meet its short and medium-term goals with future product launches and promotions.

He said Matrix Metaverse's vast potential was in its digital universe itself as the platform simulates a parallel alternative existence to actual reality, which he claimed is already a plus point as it will attract Gen Z and Gen Alpha.

The company also has future expansion plans to incorporate and enhance the immersive experience with entertaining and lifestyle activities such as 'live' online concerts, games, property talks and know-hows, special appearances by notable personalities and artistes, festive events and shows, and many more exciting happenings in the pipeline.

Designed as a fantasy garden wonderland of two huge levels, avatars can play, explore and even chat and sit calmly in its immersive environment with a time-limit of two hours during its launch date on September 28.
