KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 11): Sasbadi Holdings Bhd has bagged four contracts from the Ministry of Education (MOE) for a total collective contract value of RM15.6 million.

The contracts are relating to the supply of reprinted textbooks (BCS), as well as service of supplying and delivering market-reading digital solutions in line with the Common Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

In a bourse filing on Tuesday (Oct 11), Sasbadi said its wholly-owned subsidiary Sasbadi Sdn Bhd (SSB) had signed and accepted four letters of acceptance from the MOE for the four provisions. The contracts are valid from Oct 6, 2022 to Oct 5, 2024.

The largest chunk of the contract value comes from two contracts to supply BCS to schools under the MOE for the period of 2022 to 2024 under “Package 5 — Peninsular Malaysia” for RM7.31 million, and “Package 3 — Peninsular Malaysia” for RM7.05 million.

The remaining two other contracts worth RM1.12 million each are for the provision of market-reading digital solutions CEFR Year 1 and Year 3 for school session usage from 2023.

Sasbadi added that SSB is expected to deliver these contracts from the first quarter ending Nov 30, 2022.

“In this regard, these contracts are expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the group for the financial year ending Aug 31, 2023 and onwards, during the duration of these contracts,” it said.

As at noon break, Sasbadi shares were 14.29% or one and a half sen higher at 12 sen, bringing a market value of RM50.9 million.
