Warrant specialist Alan Voon resigns from Silver Ridge’s board

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 11): Warrant specialist Alan Voon Sze Lin has resigned as the non-independent non-executive director of Silver Ridge Holdings Bhd, to pursue his personal interests. 

His resignation takes effect from Tuesday (Oct 11), said Silver Ridge in a bourse filing. Silver Ridge, through its subsidiary, provides telecommunication system architecture and design, network solutions, as well as telecommunication-related software solutions.

Voon, who holds a 0.43% stake in Silver Ridge, joined the board as the non-independent non-executive director in September 2013. 

He is the founder and CEO of Warrants Capital Group of companies. Warrants Capital Group predominantly invests in public and private equity and holds substantial stakes in a few public-listed companies in Malaysia and Hong Kong.

Further, Voon is also a substantial shareholder in Bursa Malaysia-listed Federal International Holdings Bhd with a 1.76% stake, and XOX Technology Bhd (previously known as M3 Technologies (Asia) Bhd) with a 2.21% stake. 

Shares of Silver Ridge jumped 13.33% or two sen at 17 sen on Tuesday, translating into a market capitalisation of RM33.34 million.
