KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia closed higher on Wednesday in sync with regional markets, while ringgit strengthened against the US dollar.
The ringgit was quoted at 4.3955 against the greenback, appreciating 0.76%, the most in over 1-week.
The local currency was down 0.15% against the euro at 4.6765. It fell 0.03% against the pound sterling at 5.4383 and rose 0.19% against the Singapore dollar at 3.2607.
The FBM KLCI closed up 13.05 points, or 0.89% at 1,483.17, its intraday high.
