BDB clinches RM204m state road maintenance contract

ALOR STAR: Bina Darulaman Berhad (BDB) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, BDB Infra Sdn Bhd (BDB Infra), has been awarded a state road maintenance contract worth RM204 million.

BDB Group executive director Raja Shahreen Raja Othman said the company recently received the Letter of Acceptance from the Kedah state government.

He said the maintenance project would run for 36 months, from May 15 this year to May 14, 2026.

"The maintenance project will cover Zone 1, which includes districts of Kota Setar, Padang Terap/Pokok Sena, Kubang Pasu, Pendang, Yan and Sik.

"The award is a recognition of BDB and BDB Infra's good performance and track record in maintenance projects.

"This project is expected to positively impact the company's earnings per share for the financial period of 2023 to 2026," he said in a statement today.

BDB Infra is a Grade G7 contractor with more than 50 years of experience and has a proven track record in road maintenance and construction works as well as quarries in the country's northern region.

Previously, in 2020, BDB Infra was also awarded a three-year contract by the Kedah government for road maintenance in several districts in the state.
