KUALA LUMPUR: KPJ Healthcare Bhd
’s net profit jumps to RM51.90 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2023 (1Q FY2023), compared to a RM22.14 million from the previous corresponding quarter.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, KPJ said its revenue increased to RM828.98 million for the quarter under review, compared to RM641.64 million last year, an increase of 29 per cent.
"Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation for the current quarter was at RM190.2 million, 27 per cent better than the RM150.3 million for same quarter previously.
"Profit before tax showed an excellent performance to RM77.6 million, a two-fold increase from RM38.4 million in 1Q 2022. This better performance was mainly driven by the performance from the Malaysia segment,” it said.
