KUALA LUMPUR: The automotive total industry volume (TIV) recovered in February, increasing 31 per cent month-on-month to 63,906 units compared to 48,732 units in January, the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) reported.
"The high TIV growth can be attributed to the market stabilisation in February after recovering from a setback in January," it said in a statement today.
However, on a year-on-year basis, MAA said the TIV dropped two per cent from the 65,017 units recorded in February 2024.
The association noted that a total of 61,545 vehicles were produced in February this year, down seven per cent from the same month last year.
