Bursa Malaysia's 30-stock index opened flat following Wall Street's mixed performance amid a volatile session as sentiment was buoyed by expectations of a better earnings season.

The key index opened 0.2 lower at 1,611.

It is likely to hover within the 1,610 and 1,620 points today.

Active stocks included Sedania Innovator, TWL Holdings and Dagang Nexchange.

In the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin dropped to RM475,152.

Ethereum traded lower at RM17,003 and Solana stood at RM828.
