KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 27): The Property Guys Sdn Bhd (CozyHomes) has appointed Knight World Realty Sdn Bhd as its exclusive agency partner for rental placements, targeting a 30% improvement in tenant placement speed across its managed residential portfolio.

According to a press statement issued on Monday, the partnership was formalised through a memorandum of understanding, under which Knight World Realty will handle all tenant acquisition and placement activities for ready-to-rent units designed and furnished by The Makeover Guys in Kuala Lumpur.

Both firms plan to manage 1,000 units by 2026 and are open to similar partnerships in other regions.

“Our focus is on integrating technology with expert agency support to increase transparency and efficiency for landlords and tenants. This partnership not only accelerates tenancy but also provides landlords with clearer operational insights and tenants with better-managed living environments,” CozyHomes founder Vincent Lim said in the statement.

The partnership would also improve transparency and efficiency for both landlords and tenants, according to Lim. He added that the collaboration follows the extension of service tax to property rentals from July 2025, prompting greater emphasis on operational transparency and compliance.

Meanwhile, Knight World Realty founder Scott Tan said the agency’s network would support faster and more transparent rental transactions.

“The rental market is evolving quickly, and agency models must evolve with it. Through this partnership, we’re aligning our agents with technology that enables faster and more transparent transactions for both owners and tenants,” he shared.

Also presented at the signing ceremony held on Monday were The Makeover Guys Sdn Bhd founder Gavin Liew, The Property Guys business development manager Lim Lee Min and Knight World Realty prime manager John Lee.

For context, The Makeover Guys is the sister company to The Property Guys, overseeing the businesses focused on property enhancement, particularly interior design. Within this group, Cozyhomes serves as the property technology and management arm.

CozyHomes offers fully managed, ready-to-rent units that are designed and furnished by The Makeover Guys. This structure allows the group to provide an integrated solution from interior design and renovation to property management and tenant placement, ensuring consistent quality and transparency for both landlords and tenants.
