KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 24): LEAP Market-listed Sancy Bhd (KL:SANCY), in which tycoon Tan Sri Shahril Shamsuddin is a substantial shareholder, has secured a conditional letter of acceptance (LOA) from KPJ Healthcare Bhd (KL:KPJ) to undertake the pilot phase of a new hospital information system (nHIS) project worth RM14.7 million.

The conditional LOA, dated Nov 14 and accepted on Nov 21, appoints Sancy to design, develop, configure, test, commission and migrate the nHIS for three KPJ hospitals under a pilot phase, according to its bourse filing on Monday.

Sancy said the award is conditional upon the company submitting a performance bond equivalent to 5% of the contract sum and executing a supplemental memorandum of agreement with its wholly owned unit Sancy Med Sdn Bhd, which holds its digitalSENSE hospital information system.

Both conditions must be fulfilled within 21 working days from the LOA date, or within an extended period to be determined by KPJ.

The LOA is also conditional on the execution of a definitive agreement for the pilot phase within 30 working days.

According to the filing, the implementation covers three hospitals and will span 18 months from the commencement date stipulated in the definitive agreement.

Sancy noted that the award does not include nHIS implementation across KPJ’s remaining hospitals and intrapreneur companies.

Astramina Advisory Sdn Bhd is the financial adviser for the nHIS project and also served as Sancy’s approved and continuing adviser for its LEAP Market listing.
