KUALA LUMPUR: Awanbiru Technology Bhd
’s (Awantec) wholly-owned subsidiary, Awantec Systems Sdn Bhd (ASSB), has been awarded two contracts at a combined value of RM16.41mil by the Higher Education Ministry (MOHE) for the provision of Google artificial intelligence (AI) tools, NotebookLM Enterprise and Gemini for Google Workspace to public universities.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Awantec noted the contract for the provision of AI tools for students is valued at RM10.62mil, while a second contract for the provision of AI tools for lecturers and administrators was worth RM5.8mil.
Both contracts have a tenure of 13 months from Jan 1, 2026 to Jan 31, 2027.
