Net foreign outflows at RM63.7mil

PETALING JAYA: Foreign investors on Bursa Malaysia turned net sellers last week, snapping the three-week streak of net buying.

In its weekly fund flow report, MBSB Research said net foreign outflows were recorded at RM63.7mil for the week ended April 17. However, in the same period, foreign investors were net buyers for the second consecutive week across eight Asian markets monitored by MBSB Research.

In these markets, net foreign inflows totalled US$4.39bil (RM17.35bil), with net buying activities led by Taiwan and India.

Meanwhile, net selling was led by South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia. In Malaysia, foreign institutions were net sellers on three out of five trading days in the week ended April 17.
