KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia bucked the weak global market sentiment to open higher on Wednesday, shrugging off Wall Street's overnight losses despite mixed trading across regional markets.

The benchmark index is expected to trade within the 1,680–1,690 range today amid subdued market activity.

In the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin eased to RM259,966.

Ethereum and Solana also fell to RM7,258 and RM328 respectively.
