KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 5): The Prime Minister’s political secretary Datuk Azman Abidin will coordinate the delivery of welfare assistance and constituency programmes in Ampang after MP Rodziah Ismail’s office lost access to the MyKhas constituency allocation system.

In a statement posted on his facebook page, Azman said he has been tasked with coordinating aid distribution through the Prime Minister’s Department’s Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU JPM) and relevant government agencies.

The effort will involve cooperation with Ampang’s state assembly representatives, community leaders and other stakeholders to ensure government assistance continues to reach residents.

The announcement came hours after Rodziah said in a video posted on her social media page that her office’s MyKhas access was suspended on July 29 without explanation, making her the third PKR lawmaker to face such restrictions.

Rodziah said the suspension affects the distribution of constituency allocations, welfare assistance, community programmes and infrastructure projects under the Projek Mesra Rakyat initiative.

Previously, Subang MP Wong Chen and Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung also said their offices had been denied access to the MyKhas system without any written or verbal explanation.

Rodziah said the suspension affects not only her but also Ampang residents, particularly those needing urgent assistance. She stressed that she remains a PKR member and has not resigned, joined another party or declared support for any other political party.

She questioned whether the suspension was linked to her attendance at the launch of Parti Bersama Malaysia in Petaling Jaya on May 17, which involved former PKR leaders Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad. Wong and Lee were also reported to have attended the event.

Rodziah said she had submitted a written explanation to the PKR disciplinary board on June 23 over her attendance but had yet to receive a response. She added that her Ampang parliamentary service centre would continue operating to serve constituents.
