KUALA LUMPUR: Metronic Global Bhd has secured a contract worth RM50 million from Mass Rapid Transit Corp Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Metronic said its unit Metronic Engineering Sdn Bhd (MESB) had received and accepted a letter of acceptance from MRT Corp for the design and commissioning of underground works for the Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya line.

It said MESB is principally involved in providing system integration, specialising in the field of intelligent building management system and integrated security management system, e-project management of mechanical and electrical services and supply of engineering systems.

Metronic said the contract commenced in March and shall be completed by July 2021.

The group said the contract is expected to substantially contribute positively to the future earnings and net assets per share for the financial year ending March 31, 2019 and onwards until the expiry of the contract.
