KUALA LUMPUR: Malayan Bank Bhd (Maybank), Zhulian Corp Bhd , PLB Engineering Bhd and Keck Seng (M) Bhd are among the stocks to watch on Thursday, according to JF Apex Research.

Maybank is believed in the midst of preparing to spin off and list its Etiqa insurance arm on the local stock exchange. Etiqa, which operates in Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and Indonesia, is estimated to be worth at least US$1bil.

Zhulian's 1QFY18 net profit fell 38.05% year-on-year due to lower revenue and smaller foreign exchange gains.

PLB Engineering has proposed a private placement of up to 10% of its share capital that would raise up to RM18.2mil for working capital purposes.
