KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Plantation Bhd has been added to the  Dow Jones Islamic Market Malaysia Titans 25 Index with effect from Thursday following a review undertaken by S&P Dow Jones Indices.

Following the inclusion of Sime Plantation, the construction and property company Gamuda Bhd was removed from the index.

The changes were the quarterly review of the index, which is the benchmark for the MyETF Dow Jones Islamic Market Malaysia Titans 25 (MYETFDJ).  The second quarter weightings were based on the closing prices as at June 8 while those for the first quarter was at March 9. 

As a result of the review the weightings of the remaining stocks in the fund have also changed. 

The weightings for the three listed listed Petronas stocks were increased – Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd ,  Petronas Gas Bhd and  Petronas Dagangan Bhd . 

The others which weighting had been increased were IHH Healthcare Bhd , Dialog Group Bhd , Hartalega Holdings Bhd , Top Glove Corporation Bhd , Nestle Malaysia Bhd , Inari Amertron Bhd and Fraser and Neave Holdings Bhd .

On the decrease list were power giant Tenaga Nasional Bhd , Axiata Group Bhd , IOI Corporation Bhd , Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd , Maxis Bhd , Sime Darby Bhd . Telekom Malaysia Bhd , Westports Holdings Bhd , Lotte Chemiucal Titan Holdiungs Bhd.

They include Genting plantations Bhd , MY E.G. Services Bhd , Unisem Malaysia Bhd, Cahya Mata Sarawak Bhd and Lafarge Malaysia Bhd .
