KUALA LUMPUR: Salween Azila Ahmad Tauffik has been appointed Majuperak Holdings Bhd’s new group chief executive officer (CEO) with immediate effect.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Majuperak said Salween, 51, formerly the acting group CEO of the property development and merchandising company since Aug 15, has been re-designated to group CEO.

She replaces Rustam Apandi Jamaludin, 57, who tendered his resignation as managing director and group CEO of Majuperak on July 9, citing to pursue other interests.

Salween was a former director of advisory services at Ernst & Young, and also the director of strategy and project management at Unit Peneraju Agenda Bumiputera.

From 2014 until now, she was general manager at Perak state agency Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak, the largest shareholder of Majuperak.
