Aturmaju shares fall on rights issue concerns

KUALA LUMPUR: Aturmaju Resources Bhd fell 3.5% in early trade Tuesday after it announced plan to raise up to RM10mil via rights issue.


The loss-making company fell 1.5 sen, or  3.57% to 40.5 sen.


Aturmaju plans to raise up to RM10.1mil via a renounceable rights issue to fund its diversification into the provision of information technology (IT) solutions and services.


The company said the proposed diversification is part of the group’s plans to diversify its business activities and to provide another stream of revenue to reduce its dependence on its core existing business in the resource-based timber-related business.
