Abd Malik is Affin Hwang Investment Bank's new chairman

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 28): Affin Hwang Investment Bank Bhd has appointed Abd Malik A. Rahman as chairman of the group.

In a statement today, Affin Hwang said Abd Malik has been on the group's board of directors as the independent non-executive director since Jan 1, 2012.

Abd Malik, a chartered accountant, has held various senior management positions in Kelang Multi Terminal Sdn Bhd, Peat Marwick Mitchell, Esso Group of Co, Colgate Palmolive (M) Sdn Bhd, Amway (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Fima Metal Box Bhd and Guinness Anchor Bhd.

He is also an independent non-executive director of Affin Bank Bhd and Affin Hwang Asset Management Bhd. He also sits on the board of Boustead Heavy Industry Corp Bhd, CYL Corp Bhd, Lee Swee Kiat Group Bhd and Mah Sing Group Bhd.
