KPS appoints Ahmad Fariz as managing director

KUALA LUMPUR: Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Bhd (KPS) has appointed Ahmad Fariz Hassan as managing director.

He will also assume the role of group chief executive officer.

   
Prior to this appointment, Ahmad Fariz was the KPS chief executive officer, a position held since May 1, 2016, the company said in a statement today.

KPS also appointed Koay Li Onn as Independent Non-Executive Director effective Jan 1,  2019, Chairman Raja Shahreen Raja Othman said these additions to the board reflected its consistent enhancement alongside the Group’s ongoing strategic shift towards becoming a high-growth and returns-focused entity.

“Ahmad Fariz has been a pivotal force in conceptualising and realising the Group’s Business Transformation Plan, where various acquisitions of new businesses and holding of a majority stake in growth-centric companies, have placed the Group on a path of sustainable expansion.  

“With full responsibility for the leadership and development of KPS business, he will now be tasked to play an even bigger role in meeting the Group’s ambitious business plan going forward,” he added. - Bernama
