PUTRAJAYA (Jan 11): The National Housing Department (JPN) and Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) have never issued Optional Contract Notice, says JPN director-general N. Jayaseelan.

He said in a statement today that the notice was neither a programme nor collaboration of JPN.

“Based on our investigation, such notice of selective development and construction contract notices for projects under the National Housing Commission are also not valid.

“The JPN and KPKT also deny issuing any selective development and construction contract notices for any affordable housing, redevelopment and reconstruction as well as the rehabilitation of abandoned and ailing projects,” he said.

He advised the public to provide information and lodge reports with KPKT, JPN or the police if they receive any fraudulent notices or offer letters.

The public can provide information via email to [email protected] or [email protected], call telephone number 03-8000 8000 or via KPKT or JPN Facebook page or Twitter @kpkt_gov and @perumahanJPN.

“Housing developers and building contractors can also verify any incentive/scheme/programme introduced by the department by accessing JPN’s official portal at http://ehome.kpkt.gov.my. If members of the public have any doubts or queries, they can contact us directly,” he said.
