Academic qualifications not main criteria for choosing leaders — Kedah Amanah

PENDANG (Feb 11): Academic qualifications are not the main criteria for a person to become a leader; talent and experience are more important, Kedah Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) said today,

Chairman of Kedah Amanah Datuk Dr Ismail Salleh said there are leaders who do not have high qualifications but good leadership skills.

“Qualifications are not the main criteria for a leader, even though they are important, because a leader must also have talent and experience,” he told reporters after the launching ceremony of the 50-megawatt Quantum Solar Park Malaysia generating station here today.

Ismail was commenting on the recent issue of academic qualifications involving several Pakatan Harapan leaders.
