Tomypak unit's corporate affairs director quits after one year

KUALA LUMPUR (March 1): Ng Jit Sing has resigned as corporate affairs director of Tomypak Flexible Packaging Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tomypak Holdings Bhd, after one year on the job.

Ng, 58, assumed his post on March 1 last year.

According to a Tomypak filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Ng was the head of corporate and director of international subsidiaries and associated companies of Pelangi Publishing Group Bhd from 2002 to 2006. He also managed the listing of Pelangi on Bursa and set up of publishing houses in Indonesia, Bangkok and China during his tenure.

He joined Emecon Group of Companies in 2006 as the group chief executive officer before moving to Taspack Industrial Sdn Bhd as its chief financial officer in 2009.

Ng was a corporate consultant to a group of private companies involved in manufacturing of electrical and mechanical components prior to joining Tomypak. 

Tomypak shares closed up one sen or 1.8% at 56.5 sen today, with 82,700 shares done, bringing a market capitalisation of RM237.22 million.
