Yeoh Khoon Cheng re-designated as Lafarge CEO, new CFO appointed

KUALA LUMPUR (March 13): Lafarge Malaysia Bhd chief financial officer (CFO) Yeoh Khoon Cheng has been redesignated its chief executive officer (CEO) effective today.

On Nov 16 last year, he was appointed interim CEO.

Edward James Coultrup will replace Yeoh as CFO, Lafarge announced in a series of bourse filings.

Yeoh, 60, is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and joined Lafarge in 1987 as a finance manager. In the group he has held various positions in business development, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance.

Between January 2016 and July 2017, he served as CFO in Huaxin Cement Ltd.

Coultrup has over 19 years of professional experience in auditing, accounting and financing, having served at a number of audit firms including BDO Stoy Hayward LLP, PKF (UK) LLP, KPMG and Moore Stephens in the UK, Hong Kong and Monaco.

The 39-year old joined LafargeHolcim Group in 2014 as Head of Internal Audit Hub, Asia Pacific and was responsible for the delivery of internal audits in the Asia Pacific region (including South Asia, China, South East Asia and Australasia).

He is also currently the head of controlling in PT Holcim Indonesia TBK, a position he has held since July last year. “He leads the controlling function in Indonesia on all aspects of controlling, budgeting, forecasting and statutory filings of financial statements,” Lafarge said.
