KUALA LUMPUR (March 21): Nexgram Holdings Bhd said its external auditor, Adam & Co, has voluntarily resigned.

The loss-making company said in an exchange filing today that  the audit firm’s resignation took effect from March 18.

“Adam & Co, who had been the auditor of the company was re-appointed at the last annual general meeting (AGM) of the company held on Dec 28, 2018, to hold office until the conclusion of the next AGM of the company.

“Save for the above, the board is not aware of any matter that need to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the company,” said Nexgram.

The company said it will make further announcements on the appointment of another audit firm as its new auditor in due course.

Nexgram, which is principally involved in the business of ICT, property investment, and logistics, has been loss-making for eleven consecutive quarters now.

The company recently announced the appointment of two new directors, namely Datuk Yek Siew Lee as its executive director, and Datuk Sri Rusli Ahmad as its independent and non-executive director.

Shares in the ACE Market-listed company were last traded at two sen, for a market capitalisation of RM41.38 million.
